The One Truth
Without Me
It's been a year already. The keepers have fixed the worst of the damage on the Presidium.
There's a small plaque, dedicated to the Hero who saved them all, on a steel post in front of the Conduit. One year ago today, she lost her life to save her crew, but the people just walk on by.
His breath hitching, Kaidan clutched the bundle of lilacs he held to his chest. With a quiet determination, he approached the plaque the Council had dedicated to Axiom Shepard, Savior of the Citadel. A sad smile crossed his face as he traced her name with his finger, the metal cold against his skin.
Her sent filled his nostrils, drifting up from the blossoms in his hand, teasing a tear from his eye.
"Oh silly boy, you nicked yourself shaving again," Axiom smiled up at him, dabbing at a spot on his neck.
He hissed slightly at the sting, then sighed as she pressed her lips to the spot.
"Oh," she said in dismay, "you've got some on your collar."
Her face turned pouty and he couldn't help but chuckle. She pulled his white button up shirt off of him and busied herself with dabbing the spot with Hydrogen Peroxide from his medicine chest.
Kaidan smiled, reveling in this side of Commander Shepard that was his and his alone, the loving woman who fussed over him when no one could see. He wrapped his arms around her from behind, kissing her neck. Axiom giggled, leaning back into him, her soft curves pulling a groan from him as he buried his face in her hair, her lilac and lavender sent teasing his senses.
"If you keep that up, we'll never get to that award banquet on time," she said, her voice husky with desire.
Sighing, Kaidan pulled away from her, satisfied just to watch her graceful movements for now.
Her slim figure was wrapped in a black off the shoulder dress. There was a tastefully understated design embroidered along the neckline, accenting the swell of her breasts. Soft auburn hair normally kept pulled up away from her face, was cascading down her back, begging him to touch it.
Shepard could look good in anything, from her N7 Onyx armor, to sweats after working out. It didn't matter that this was the simplest dress she could find for the dinner tonight, Kaidan knew she would draw the eye of everyone in the room.
His chest felt tight as Kaidan swallowed around the lump in his throat. "I have to tell her, now," he thought. "Before they send us back out on a mission. I have to let her know."
"There we go," Axiom turned, holding up his shirt, the blood cleaned from the collar
Kaidan sighed, the moment passed as he shrugged into the dress shirt.
Shepard grinned at him, "What would you ever do without me?"
"I have no idea," he replied, looking deep into her eyes and praying she felt how true the statement was.
Kaidan stifled a sob, carefully placing the bundle of lilac along the top of her name.
"I still don't know what I'm going to do without you," he whispered, the tears running down his face.

Mages and Templars: Origin
It was night, just before the dawn and the sunrise. The young templar had been assigned to guard-duty; to guard the big metal doors that for most just lead into the tower to then keep them from getting outside again. He, on the other hand, was not one of the mages, not locked away to keep the world safe from them - and to keep them safe from the world.
He, Cullen was the young man's name, had not been a templar for long and had just been sent to the Circle Tower, not a full year yet, but not far from it. He knew the names of most of the apprentices since it was them he usually guarded and kept under a watchful eye, but not all mages names -

The Knight Captain's Favour: Part I
Set between Act I and Act II
Several years ago, Knight Captain Cullen pledged to Garrett Hawke that he was in his debt for ridding the ranks of the Templars of demon infestation. Not long after that, Garrett tried to call in that favour by begging that his sister Bethany be allowed to go free instead of being taken to the mage prison known as the Gallows. The Knight Captain refused. Now several years and many angry confrontations later, Garrett has returned to the Gallows to call in the favour.
"No," Cullen snapped, slamming his hands down onto the desk. "Absolutely not. This is not an alehouse, Hawke. T

After Hours pt. 1
The bandit's arrow had found its mark.
Fenris sunk to his knees, emerald eyes fixated on the wooden shaft
buried several inches into his flesh. He felt the sensation of
downing as blood began to fill his left lung. He coughed and tasted
warm iron tinged blood.
“FENRIS!” Marion Hawke
shouted as she turned from the newly eviscerated bandit. Her daggers
fell with a loud clank that echoed through the underground tunnels of
Darktown as she raced towards the elf. “ANDERS GET OVER HERE
AND HELP!” She bellowed. The blonde mage turned from his
recently frozen target hesitated slightly, then swiftly made his way
